Student Information

One thing that you are going to find useful when here is the International student ID Card.  Follow the link to apply for this once here.  You will find it very useful.  Our written offer of a place will provide part of the required documentation. 

It is also advised to get a Young Person's Railcard - especially useful if you are coming on the One Year Course because it will get you 1/3rd off the normal train fare, so you get your money back after 3 uses, so apply for it NOW!

You will find that you will be in a small class.  This means that you will get to know your lecturer and fellow students, and they you, very quickly.

Staff/Student interaction is therefore very efficient, and you will find all, including fellow students, are always ready to give helpful advice.

If you have any problems understanding a lecture, for example, the Director or another lecturer will always be available for a one-to-one session to explain more fully what you may not have grasped, or missed due to absence.

Should your problem concern any other issue, then again, the Director or another lecturer will give you a time to discuss the matter.  Students living away from home, for example, may sometimes have problems with their accommodation, part-time job or finance, and we will always try to advise in the strictest confidence, and help in any way we can where possible.

Problems arising with other students or a lecturer need dealing with quickly, so must be reported, again in the strictest confidence, to one of the directors.

We maintain the highest of standards, and are recognised by the main cineguilds, especially The Moving Image Society and the National Federation of Film Schools NAHEMI, so these external bodies are also available should a student have an issue which cannot be resolved internally.
